Start with the question, not the machine
Most patients do not arrive knowing whether they need an MRI, a CT or an ultrasound. These pages start from the body area and the concern, then route you to the study that answers it.

ExploreFocus areas and service pages work together
If you already know which exam you need, go straight to the services section. If you are starting from a symptom, a family history or a physician's concern, start here, every focus area links out to the specific exams that answer it, and to preventive screening where a screening path exists.
Frequently asked questions
What is a focus area?
A focus area groups imaging by the part of the body or the question you have, rather than by the machine used. It helps you find the right study when you do not already know which scan you need.
How is this different from your services pages?
Service pages explain a single exam such as MRI or CT. Focus area pages start with your symptom or concern and route you to whichever exam answers it best.
Do I still need a referral?
Most insurance-covered diagnostic imaging requires a physician order. Self-pay preventive screening generally does not. Call (818) 679-2867 and we will confirm.
Can you help me choose?
Yes. Our scheduling team works with your physician's order, and our radiologists advise on protocol selection when a question could be answered more than one way.
