COMMONLY AUTHORIZED

Exams that commonly require authorization

X-ray and most ultrasound studies typically do not require prior authorization, see our X-ray services and ultrasound services.

DENIALS

If a request is denied

We notify your office promptly and share the payer's stated reason in full. Where the plan allows it, we support peer-to-peer review and coordinate the reviewer call. If the denial stands, our radiologists can discuss whether a different modality answers the same clinical question, for example a low-dose CT or ultrasound in place of a contrast-enhanced study.
