What Is Longevity Imaging

Imaging as part of a longevity practice.

If you already train, sleep well and track your bloodwork, imaging is the missing structural layer. A whole-body MRI shows what your labs and wearables cannot: the actual shape and condition of your organs, vessels, spine and joints, recorded while you feel well, not after something goes wrong.

The real value compounds over time. A finding is far easier to interpret when there is a prior scan to compare against: a spot that has been unchanged for three years reads very differently to one that appeared this year. That comparison is what turns a single image into a trendline you and your physician can actually use.

Baseline & Tracking

Your baseline, then your trendline.

YEAR ONE

Your Baseline

A full structural map of your body today, brain to thigh, recorded at 3 Tesla so it can serve as your reference point for the years ahead.

YEAR TWO ONWARD

What Changed

Direct comparison against your prior study surfaces subtle changes early, and just as usefully, confirms what has stayed exactly the same.

ALWAYS

Shared With Your Physician

A plain-language report and secure image access you can bring to your doctor or longevity clinician, so imaging sits inside your wider care.

What It Covers

Every study is read by board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologists.

Who It's For

Built for people already paying attention.

People who already track health metrics, bloodwork, wearables, VO₂ max, body composition
Anyone with a family history they want to stay ahead of
Those turning 40, 50 or 60 who want a baseline while they feel well
People who want annual imaging as a standing part of their routine
Honest Expectations

What screening can, and can't, tell you

What it's good at

Structural findings, masses, aneurysms, organ changes such as fatty liver, and degeneration in the spine and joints. It also gives you a baseline your future scans can be compared against.

What it doesn't replace

Mammography, colonoscopy, blood work and care from your physician. Longevity imaging sits alongside guideline screening, it does not detect every condition and it cannot prevent disease.

Incidental findings

Sometimes we find something benign that still needs follow-up. We explain clearly what it means, what the recommended next step is, and why, so you are never left guessing.

Using insurance?

Preventive screening is generally not covered by insurance. If you have symptoms or a physician's order for a specific concern, a diagnostic MRI may be covered instead, we'll verify those benefits and schedule the appropriate exam.

FAQs

Questions about longevity imaging.

Many people choose an annual or every-other-year cadence, and some space it further apart once they have a stable baseline. The right interval depends on your age, family history and what your physician advises, we are happy to discuss it with you rather than sell you a schedule.
A single scan tells you what your body looks like today. A baseline plus a later scan tells you what is changing. Many findings, a cyst, a small nodule, a variation in anatomy, are far easier to interpret when there is a prior study to compare against, which can reduce unnecessary worry and unnecessary follow-up.
No. Longevity imaging looks at structure; your physical, bloodwork and physician's assessment cover things imaging cannot see. It is designed to complement your routine care, not to stand in for it.
No. Longevity imaging at Lucent Prevent is self-referred, so you can book directly with our Glendale team. If a finding needs follow-up, we'll help you get the report to your physician.
Preventive screening is generally not covered by insurance, which is why it is offered as a transparent cash-pay service with no surprise billing. If you have symptoms or a physician's order, a diagnostic MRI may be covered instead, we can verify those benefits for you.
Every study is read by a board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologist, and we walk you through the report in a dedicated results consultation. Some findings are benign but still warrant follow-up imaging or a physician visit; we explain in plain language what was seen and what the recommended next step is.
