Getting your results
Your imaging results are read by a board-certified radiologist and sent to your referring physician within 24 to 48 hours. Here's how the process works and how to access your images and report.
- Routine studies read in 24-48 hours
- Urgent studies read the same day
- Critical findings phoned immediately
- Images available to download
How the results process works
Your scan is completed
Images are checked for quality before you leave the department.
A radiologist interprets
A board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologist reviews your images.
A report is sent
The written report goes to your referring physician, typically within 24-48 hours.
Your physician explains
They discuss the findings with you and explain the next steps.
Why your doctor explains your results
Your referring physician has your full medical history and knows why the scan was ordered. That context is what turns a set of findings into a plan, which is why they deliver and interpret the results for you.
A radiology report is written for clinicians, so it can be hard to read on its own. If you had a preventive screening scan with no referring physician, Lucent provides a results consultation to walk you through the findings in plain language.

Understanding your report
A radiology report has four parts: the clinical indication (why the scan was done), the technique (how it was performed), the findings (what the radiologist saw) and the impression.
The Impression is the radiologist's summary conclusion. If you read only one section, read that one.
Medical records requests
Request your records by phone on (818) 679-2867 or in person at our Glendale office with photo ID. Records for another person require a signed authorization.
